The Casa Grande Alliance is a collaboration among city and county government departments, treatment providers, and other local organizations ready for and engaged in prevention. Formed in 1989 the group aspires to reduce substance misuse and its negative consequences by promoting strategies for positive community change.
We endeavor to ensure at least one representative from each of the twelve key sectors of the community as identified by the ONDCP and the Community Anti Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). There is no membership fee, although members are encouraged to provide in-kind services or goods to assist the Alliance in accomplishing its activities.
Anyone interested in becoming a member can contact CGA, Inc. Membership rolls are updated each January, although members can join at any time.
Mission: Through collaboration with key community stakeholders, the Alliance works to reduce substance misuse disorder in the Casa Grande area through policy development, prevention, and education.
What we do:
Policy Development: To develop policy and action that sustains and supports effective substance abuse prevention, intervention, interdiction, and treatment.
Prevention and Education: Seek to coordinate, cooperate and collaborate on shared community-wide, drug use, prevention, and treatment information.
Meetings:
We usually meet on the first Monday of the month at 1:00 pm. For more information about our meetings, please call (520) 836-5022.
